Research and development
The international shipbuilding market is subject to permanent changes. This has direct influence on the requirements for the propeller. Besides the demands of higher efficiency, there are in focus particularly aspects like behaviour at cavitation and acoustic noise of the propeller.
Together with recognized universities and ship model test basin, MMG participates on national and international research projects. Besides this fundamental orientated research with strong partners, the technical market leadership will be extended through continuous internal research. Along with the development of own software, modern Finite Volume and Finite Elements Procedures are in use, too.
For the permanent exchange of experiences with research institutes, universities, shipyards and ship model test basin, MMG is working in various boards and technical committees.
Research partner of MMG are among others:
- SVA Potsdam
- TU Hamburg-Harburg
- HSVA
- Universität Rostock
- Universität Duisburg-Essen
- CTO Danzig
